Bee's Kopitiam brings you the typical flavors of south east asian street food, in an authentic blend of Malaysian and Singaporean favorites - come on down and say hello to Bee Bee and her culinary team.
Kopitiam is a word that reflects the mutli ethnicity of south east asia, KOPI being the portmanteau word for coffee in malay borrowed from the Portuguese, and TIAM the Hokkien dialect word for shop. Kopitiam are very popular in Malaysia and Singapore and serve traditional hawker food. What can we eat there ?You can visualize our current selection on the right. Who is Bee Bee ?Bee Bee is from Malaysia, from a small town called Sungai Petani less than an hour from Penang. She explored the world for 10 years with Singapore Airlines as a glamorous leading crew serving first class. Bee Bee then moved to Chennai when it was still called Madras and it has been a long life dream to have her own food outlet.
Where is it ?
This 16th June 2010 she finally did it and opened Bee's Kopitiam in the spanking new food court of Express Avenue Mall; Chennai's finest entertainment and shopping destination.
Express Avenue is @whites road next to the clock tower in Royapettah district of Chennai.
Bee's is open from 11.30 am to 9.30 pm, find us on the third floor at the food court.
